We have no space to put anything and we're in danger of losing our best teachers because we have no spaces for them to teach in." Britta Martini-Miles, executive director of CommUnity Arts Space, reiterated an offer by her group to use a large portion of its $160,000 savings to help fund the project. Robinson introduced a motion to accept the information presented by Fenech and to authorize staff to seek further public input. "For three years we've owned this property and I've got to say I'm disappointed that it took us three years to get this far, but now I'm delighted that we're as close as we are because we need this," said Robinson. "I, as the mayor was, am supportive of option three when the time comes." Robinson's motion passed unanimously and will go before council on Monday for approval.
