While it is encouraging that these unfortunates made the correct decision to not drive home intoxicated, I cannot empathize with them further. Residents of Oakville or Toronto know that there are parking restrictions. Residents of Oakville or Toronto should also know that, if drinking is planned, transportation should also be planned. As Mr. Fraser pointed out, the cost of a round-trip cab ride is much less than the cost of freeing an impounded vehicle. Planning ahead is a skill that we need to develop further, either in terms of drinking and driving or taking care of our environment. Let's use our brains to our advantage.
