Jenna Rolland-Mills placed seventh in the Pre-Juvenile category, while Samantha Heard finished eighth. Seven other OSC skaters also competed at the event, with several achieving personal-best performances. The Heritage Glen Huskies won the Halton District School Board's Central Tier 1 elementary school boys' volleyball championship. Members of the Huskies are Nick Gilmour, Connor Chambers, Jackson Hulbert, Oliver Dooley, Mitchell Bowswer, Tyler Burns, Garrett Atkinson, Matthew Dingwall, Ryan Burns, Max Lambert, Evan Herniak and Milan Beader. Tim Stevens and Mike Hays coach the Huskies. School volleyball finals next week Maintaining their undefeated record, the Heritage Glen Huskies won the Halton District School Board's Central Division elementary school boys' volleyball Tier 1 title Tuesday with a 25-23, 25-20 win over the Eastview Eagles. Both Heritage Glen and Eastview will represent central Halton at the regional championships Nov. 29 in Milton. So will the Eastview's girls' team, which also competed in the Central Division final (results of that contest were not available). In next week's Tier 2 Halton finals, Oakville will be represented in boys' competition by W.H. Morden, New Central, Pilgrim Wood and Forest Trail. Heritage Glen, Forest Trail, West Oak and Post's Corners are Oakville's Tier 2 representatives in girls' action. Many other local skaters will participate in upcoming competitions, however, with the start of the Starskate season. Financing Available Morningstar athletes earn 10 gold medals Marcus Membrere and Thao Nguyen each earned gold medals in both patterns and sparring at the Blackburn ITF Friendship Tournament in Ottawa. The duo accounted for four of the 10 gold medals won by Morningstar Taekwon-Do at the competition. The club won 27 medals in total. Rebecca Diciccio, Louie Mendez and Christopher Gorgin each won a gold in sparring and silver in patterns while Scott Seguin took gold in patterns and silver in sparring. Morningstar's other two golds came in the team competition. Jeffrey Goncalves, Brandon Membrere and Louie Mendez won the junior gold medal while Scott Seguin, Jeff Phipps and Steven Cronk teamed up for gold in the adult division.
