The first fundraiser will be Silent Angel Street Hockey held in our Rett Syndrome Awareness Month October 5th 2008 The street hockey tournament is 3on3, open to everyone over 18 years of age and will be held at the Canadian Tire parking lot 400 Dundas Street and Trafalgar Rd. Oakville. There will be food and drinks as well as attendee bags with gifts,coupons, door prizes and more. Seen here, sharing a book are Tomas Bejarano and Luqman Tamela.The Oakville library has language-rich children's spaces -- Book Nooks -- throughout the community which provide reading materials to children whose parents don't easily have access to the local library. The books can be borrowed by families without a library card and lending works on the honour system. The newest Book Nook at HMC offers children's books to be shared and borrowed, in various languages, in a cozy, barrier-free environment for children and their caregivers.
