Yes, Santa Claus will soon be making his yearly ride down the streets of Oakville in his great red sleigh! The Oakville Santa Claus Parade Committee has been as busy as elves over the summer preparing for this year's Parade, which takes place Saturday, Nov. 15, starting at 9 a.m. This year we celebrate the Parade's 60th anniversary with the theme is A Child's Magical Christmas. The parade is now accepting applications for float entries and encourages all those from our community to show their creativity by participating in this year's event. Application forms can be printed at www.oakvillesantaclausparade.ca by clicking on registration. The deadline for entries is October 24, 2008, or the first 50 entries, whichever comes first. Once again, children can look forward to entering our annual colouring contest designed by Steve Nease and possibly winning the chance to ride in the parade along with our grand marshall.
