A visit to Big Al's is an event. Families go routinely, especially on Shark-feeding night! Every Tuesday at 7:00 pm Shark kids can go and watch as staff feed 4 Black Tip Reef Sharks in a 12' round 5,000-gallon holding tank. "We give the children a Big Al's colouring book, allowing them the opportunity to win a gift certificate and their picture above the register." Community minded, Big Al's is aware their store is not the norm in retail. More of a minimuseum, Jake and staff play host to day-care classes and school tours.
