Whitecaps win Tokessy tourney The Oakville Little League minor AA Whitecaps All-Stars defeated Brockville 1910 to win the Scott Tokessy Gold Glove Memorial Tournament recently in Ottawa. The team of 10-year-olds had advanced to the final by doubling Ottawa's Pinecrest 12-6 in the semis. Oakville had a win, a loss and a tie in the round-robin of the tournament, the largest Little League charity tournament in Canada. The competition featured 44 teams from Quebec, Ontario and the U.S. in four divisions. Members of the team are Griffin Sanford, Adam Hannan, Evan Lubanszky, Kevin Samardzic, Braeden MacGregor, Anthony Baxter, Austin Gerow, Miles Gordon, Brady Leedham, Joel McLeod, Paul Kirby, Avery Childress, Kevin Kocken and Spencer Williams.
