Born February 22, 1926 in Mareno Di Piave, Italy Maria was a daughter of the late Dominic and Angela Stival. Predeceased by her loving husband Pietro Lovat (January 2007). Maria was an avid gardener and horticulturist. Past member of the Royal Botanical Gardens in Hamilton where she fell in love with water colour painting. She is survived by her three children, Fausto Lovat of Woodbridge, Nadia Morris (Grant) of Oshawa, John Lovat of Whistler, B.C., and four grandchildren, Andrea and Vanessa Morris, Fabrizio and Danielle Lovat, one sister Milena Spitoni of Mareno Di Piave, Italy and one brother Arcangelo Stival of Albertville, France.
