Earlier in the day, Hennessy was third in the 1,500m. Athletiques teammate Melissa Gabel also won gold and bronze on the track. She was victorious in the 15-and-under girls' 1,500m race, adding a third-place outing in the 800m. Renegades stingy in Darlington Anchored by a nearly-impenetrable defence, the Oakville Renegades girls' under-14 B soccer team won gold at a recent tournament in Darlington. Oakville allowed only one goal in its five games, and that marker came on a penalty kick. Sarah Eckert earned shutouts in the other four contests, and stopped each of the shots she faced in a 2-1 shootout victory over Darlington in the semifinal. Renegades captain Meaghan Perrotta scored both Oakville's goals in the championship game, a 2-0 win over the Cataraqui Clippers. Kate Wickham had the Renegades' regulation time marker in the semi, with Caitlin Hammill and Victoria MacNeill scoring in the shootout.
