Taking Steps Against Breast Cancer is a leisurely, 5km, non-competitive, fundraising walk (plus a 1km Family Fun Walk), which takes place during the fall in communities across Ontario. The Oakville event, however, features its own special twist -- thanks to the generous support of site sponsor Oakville Place. The event is held indoors at the mall, so participants don't need to worry about the weather. The 2008 Taking Steps Against Breast Cancer event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, Oct. 26. Volunteers are needed to help with administrative tasks, event promotion, participant recruitment, sponsorship, logistics, entertainment and event day execution.
