Break juveniles earn provincial silver The Oakville Vytis Break juvenile girls knocked off the province's top team to earn a silver medal at the Ontario Basketball Association championships. The Break was ranked third in division 1 heading into the tournament, held in Waterloo May 911. Oakville had its work cut out for it with a semifinal matchup against the top-ranked Toronto Triple Threat. Oakville played strong defence while at the other end, the Break worked the ball inside and kept their opponent's defence honest by scoring from the perimeter. The result was a convincing 51-32 victory. In the championship game, Oakville faced the second-ranked London Ramblers. Despite a strong first half by the Break, London slowly built its lead in the second on its way to a 49-34 victory.
