The Oakville Ranger defenceman had to sweat it out until the 15th round, the second last pick of the draft. "I was pretty nervous once it got into the 15th round," said the 5-foot10, 175-pound defenceman. "I was told by some teams there was a good chance of getting drafted but when it got down to the last few picks, I thought, `Wow, what's going on here?'" Another Oakville blueliner, Nathaniel Domagala, who played with the powerhouse Jr. Canadiens squad, was drafted by Kingston in the 10th round. Domagala had seven goals and 28 points in 85 games with the Jr. Canadiens. The 6-foot, 190-pound blueliner helped the Canadiens win the Greater Toronto Hockey League title and the OHL Cup, a tournament for the top minor midget teams in the province. Corbeth and Liptok were invited to Belleville for a dinner prior to the fourth game of the OHL final Tuesday. "I'm happy to be going there," Corbeth said. "Shawn Matthias (a former Bull who made his NHL debut after helping Canada win gold at the world juniors) was a late-round pick and they seem to give their later round picks a chance." The 5-foot-10 forward had 21 goals and 60 points in 52 games with the Rangers. Liptok, who had eight goals and 29 points in 58 games, said in the end it was worth the wait when he joined Corbeth as a Bulls' draft choice. "He's one of my good friends so we were both pretty pumped to be going to Belleville," Liptok said. "We've played on the same team for several years and I know going to camp he's going to be there if I'm not playing well and I'll be there for him." Liptok said he wants to improve his mobility and conditioning. "Those are the two key things you need to play in the OHL," he said.
