With the MOHA coming off its most successful season ever, there were 80 applicants for the 35 positions. There are seven returning coaches at the AAA level: Marc Moro (minor atom), Mike Viyella (atom), Duncan Harvey (minor peewee) , John Guzzo (minor bantam), Mario MacDonald (bantam), Dave Brennan (minor midget) and Tom Daly (midget). Roy Gringmuth, an OMHA gold medal-winning coach who is an assistant coach with the Oakville Blades, returns to the Rangers to take on the peewees. In AA, six of the nine coaches from last year are back with the Rangers: Mark Taciuk (minor atom), Rob Stanbury (atom), Dave Crozier (peewee), Don McLaughlin (minor bantam), Lou Germano (minor midget) and Rich Holder, who moves up a level to coach midget. Former assistant coach Mike Choma will coach minor peewee, former Grey Cup champion Leon Hatziionnou will coach novice and Geoff Blackwell will be behind the bantam bench. Four returnees will coach at the A level: Dwayne Clarke (minor atom), Jody Zedor (atom), Brian Stamegna (minor peewee) and Shawn McIntosh (minor midget). The other A coaches will be former pro soccer player Dave Berkopec (novice), former assistant coaches Dan Johnson (peewee) and Lane Bailey (minor bantam), and Jim Nyhus (bantam). There is a good chance that a midget A team will also be on the ice next season. John Dasilva (peewee) and Mitch Kvasni (minor midget) return at the AE (additional entry) level, while the other teams will be coached by Dave D'Amico (minor atom), Zoltan Nemcsek (atom), Dom Reale (minor peewee), Shawn McNamara (minor bantam) and Jeff McBain (bantam).
