Police said that at around 1:37 p.m. a 2008 Honda CR-V motor vehicle was travelling northbound on Sixth Line when it struck the boy, who was skateboarding the other way on the road. When police, fire and ambulance personnel arrived at the scene, they found the boy unconscious and bleeding from the head. The skateboarder was rushed to Hamilton General Hospital where he received stitches to his knee and treatment for lacerations to his face. He is also undergoing CAT scan tests. The driver of the car, a 17-year-old Oakville male, and his passenger, an 18-year-old male, were not injured. No charges have been filed at this time.
