This will be the fourth Canadian masters championships appearance in the past five years for the squad, no small feat according to Edmondson. "If you can just get to the provincials, that's most teams' objective," said the 64-year-old skip. "You have to win your zone, then your region, then provincials... there are 8-10 teams at each level and only winners advance. It gets progressively harder." The rink, which also includes David Stewart, Brian Longley and Graham MacEachern, did not have to compete in zone or regional playdowns this year, since it is the defending national champion.
