"This is a place where people can gather, cook and learn," said Longo's spokesperson Rosanne Longo. "We're going to offer cooking classes. People can rent out the space to have their meetings, have breakfast here. There's a seating area so people can bring their store bought purchases here and have lunch or breakfast," said Roseanne. Another feature unique to the Burloak store is the chocolatier, a portion of the store set aside for the purpose of making and selling chocolate. "We recently sent two team members to Belgium to learn all about Belgian chocolate," said Rosanne. "All of this is made with Belgian chocolate. We've got handmade truffles, we've got chocolatecovered pretzels, chocolate-covered strawberries. One of our exclusive items is the Fruitta di Bosco, a torte made with blackberries, blueberries and raspberries. There's a pint of each of those berries on that cake. "Also, exclusive to Longo's is our killer brownies. They're huge," said Roseanne. While other Longo's stores are equipped with floral departments, the Burloak store is different in that it has a floral service department, which can make bouquets for customers on the spot. Catering services concerning floral arrangements are also available through the Burloak Longo's. For cheese connoisseurs, the Burloak Longo's offers a temperature-controlled cheese case containing cheeses, "This store is about serving time-starved families, that's what we're about. So whether it's solutions in the meat department with seasoned meats all ready to go, or in the produce department with cut-up vegetables, we're trying to make people's lives easier and help them eat healthier, as well." This international addition to Longo's regular selection gives the customer more than 300 varieties of cheese to choose from. On top of all this, the store houses a number of on-site conveniences, including a Morelli's Pharmacy, a Wine Rack and a Starbucks. No less impressive is the Longo's kitchen where chefs clad in white can be seen making chicken and steak dishes along with a host of other items. "Everything is made fresh on site. People find a variety of healthy meals here and whether they are looking for the whole meal to be done for them or just a side dish, the kitchen has many things to chose from," said Rosanne, who went on to describe the store's purpose behind offering these features.
