STUDY COMPLETED ON IMPROVEMENTS TO LAKESHORE ROAD WEST The Town of Oakville, through its consultant UMA Engineering Ltd., has completed a Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Study to facilitate the improvement of Lakeshore Road West from Burloak Drive to Mississaga Street. The study was completed in compliance with Schedule "C" of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment. An Environmental Study Report (ESR) has been prepared to document the planning and decision making process undertaken for this study. This notice is to inform the public that the ESR for this project has been completed and placed in the public record for a 30-day review period in accordance with the requirements of the Municipal Class EA process. The Town of Oakville must receive comments on this ESR by Friday March 28, 2008 (within 30 days from the date of this notice). Contact information is listed below. Subject to comments received as a result of this notice and the receipt of necessary approvals, the Town intends to proceed with the implementation of this project as outlined in the ESR. FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL STUDY REPORT North Satellite Operations Depot and Patrol Yard Class Environmental Assessment The Town of Oakville has carried out a Class Environmental Assessment to identify a new North Satellite Operations Depot and Patrol Yard within the area bounded by the north town boundary, the east town boundary, Dundas Street to the south and Bronte Road to the west. The study was conducted in compliance with Schedule C of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (2000, as amended in 2007), which is approved under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act. Following the November 21, 2007 Public Information Centre, the preferred alternative was reviewed in light of comments received. Taking into consideration the comments received from regulatory agencies and the public, the preferred site for the North Satellite Operations Depot and Patrol Yard is located within Town-owned lands on the west side of Neyagawa Boulevard between Dundas Street and Burnhamthorpe Road. The Environmental Study Report (ESR) has been prepared to document the planning and decision making processes that were followed. By this Notice, the ESR is being placed on the public record for a 30 day review period in accordance with the requirements of the Municipal Class EA. Subject to comments received as a result of this Notice and the receipt of necessary approvals, the Town of Oakville intends to proceed with the detail design and construction as documented in the ESR.
