MARKIEWICZ, Aleksandra- Peacefully after a long illness on Monday, January 28th, in her 83rd year. Beloved wife to her late husband Walter, Aleksandra is survived by her twin sister Ludmilla Suchowska, her loving sons Stan, Peter and Ian, daughters-in-law Mary and Patricia, and grandchildren Thomas, Christopher, Jeremy and Lisette. Born in Poland, she survived World War II as a nurse in the operating theatre. She and her husband emigrated to Canada and raised their sons in Oakville in the 50's and 60's. She entered university in her 40's to graduate with a Ph.D. in psychology which she taught at Marygrove College until her retirement. Memorial services to be held on Saturday, February 2nd at 12 p.m. at the Scott Funeral Home, 420 Dundas St. E. in Mississauga. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Arthritis Society. MOIROUX, Reinaldo "Ray"- Born in Temuco, Chile on September 8, 1944. Passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 20, 2008 in Santiago, Chile. Ray will be remembered by his wife Carmen, loving son André and his wife Jane Gulian Moiroux and his loving daughters Michelle and Nicole Moiroux. Ray came to Toronto in 1969 after studying in Chile, Ecuador and USA. He was an employee of CIBC for over 35 years. Cremation has taken place in Chile. A private memorial gathering will be held in Oakville. If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
