Miss Agnes McPhail Is U.F.O. Candidate
At the U.F.O. Convention held in Durham on Monday of this week Miss Agnes McPhail was chosen as the U.F.O. candidate fort Southeast Grey at the coming Federal election. there were some 25 aspiring candidates present, but every one fell before the charms of the lady from Ceylon. Mr Harry Shaw was the last man to succumb, after the others dropped out one by one on various ballots.
Miss McPhail has been pretty well heard throughout the riding during the past summer and is recognized as a whirlwind to talk. This, no doubt, she inherits from her father, Mr. Dougald McPhail the auctioneer, and the gift possessed by her may land her in parliament the first thing she knows. Then the big interests and profiteers may look out!
In any event, we congratulate Miss McPhail on the slaughter she made among the innocents at Durham on Monday.
