Bordin slapped in a rebound in overtime of the Polar Bears' 3-2 semifinal win over Hamilton, and provided the only goal of the shootout in the final against the Kingston Blue Moose. Taylor Scott earned the shutout in the championship game, and her play throughout the tournament was key to the Polar Bears' success. Earlier in the tournament, the Polar Bears posted a pair of 2-2 ties and clinched a semifinal berth with a 2-1 win over Durahm Red. Laura Wirkowski (three), Vanessa DiNunzio (two), Meagan Franchetto and Abby Henley had the other Oakville goals in the tournament. Rachel Hisey, Meghan Cochran, Kathleen McGarrell and Franchetto each recorded at least one assist. Other members of the team are Alicia Ditchburn, Madeleine Thackray, Marina Salis, Sara Dickson, Laura England, Alexa Prits and Hannah Foster. George Franchetto, Ernie Bordin and Norbert Wirkowski coach the team, and Sandy England is the trainer.
