Members of the TTHS were clearly elated by the decision, which ended a week of uncertainty over the future of the Dundas Street property. Since last June, when town council endorsed a plan to allow the society to lease the facility to create a schoolhouse museum, volunteers have been working to clean up and restore the old schoolhouse.
