NOTICE OF PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING Town Initiated Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment ­ Maurice-Garden Developments Inc. Lands bounded by Dorval Drive, Rebecca Street, Garden Drive and Lakeshore Road West File: 42.14.277 A public meeting with respect to the above-referenced Town-initiated Amendments was held on November 26, 2007. A Staff Report and recommendation regarding the above-noted matter is scheduled to be considered at the December 10, 2007 Planning & Development Council meeting starting at 7:30 p.m. Anyone may attend the Planning & Development Council meeting, however, if you wish to speak at the meeting, you must register ahead of time with the Clerk's Office by contacting Colleen Tino at (905) 845-6601 ext. 3136, or e-mail: ctino@oakville.ca to arrange to be a delegation. The purpose of these amendments is to redesignate and rezone lands to allow high density residential development with ground floor commercial along Lakeshore Road, a height limit of 4 storeys, and to introduce development phasing policies. The effect of this redesignation and rezoning would allow high density residential development with ground floor commercial, a maximum density of 185 units per hectare, and a maximum height limit of 4 storeys. These lands are, in part, associated with an application submitted by Maurice-Garden Developments Inc. (File No. Z.1617.034), which is before the Ontario Municipal Board (Case No. PL060689). If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Oakville before the proposed official plan amendment is adopted or before the zoning by-law amendment is passed: a) the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Town of Oakville Council to the Ontario Municipal Board; and, b) the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party. Individuals are requested to submit a written outline of any oral submissions made at a Public Meeting to the Town Clerk. If you wish to be notified of the adoption of the proposed official plan amendment, or of the refusal of a request to amend the official plan, you must make a written request to the Town Clerk at the Town of Oakville, Clerk's Department, P.O.
