www.oakvillebeaver.com The Oakville Beaver, Friday November 30, 2007 - 19 New HHS Eating Disorders Program When a child has an eating disorder, it can have a profound effect on the entire family. Thanks to a generous $60,000 gift from Sun Life Financial, additional support and assistance is now available for families in our community who have a child with an eating disorder. With Sun Life Financial's tremendous support, Halton Healthcare Services (HHS) has announced the launch of a Multi-Family Group Therapy Program, an innovative form of eating disorder treatment designed to give teens/children with an eating disorder a chance to enjoy a full adolescence while reducing the emotional impact on their families. For more information on this new program, please call the HHS Eating Disorders Program at 905-815-5124. Dr. Ivan Eisler & Pennie Fairbairn, members of the Multi-Family Group Therapy Development Training Team from Maudsley Hospital in London, England flank Perry Badham of Sun Life Financial and John Oliver, President & CEO of Halton Healthcare Services. Mr. Boast-Cornish is well known for his works of Oakville and Bronte scenes. His original paintings, limited editions and Giclée fine art prints can be found in private and corporate collections in Canada and abroad. The OTMH Holiday Cards are available in the Treasure Cove Gift Shop in the OTMH Lobby. A package of 10 cards, with envelopes, is $12 (including tax). Proceeds from the 2007 Holiday cards will be used to purchase new medical equipment for OTMH, such as a sleeper chair for the Maternal Child Department.
