PUBLIC INFORMATION CENTRE #2 Wednesday, November 21, 2007 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Town Hall - Trafalgar Room, 1225 Trafalgar Rd, Oakville North Satellite Operations Depot and Patrol Yard Class Environmental Assessment The Town of Oakville is undertaking a study to identify a new North Satellite Operations Depot and Patrol Yard. As northern Oakville's population and developed areas increase, a new Depot and Patrol Yard is required to minimize travel times for Town crews working to maintain the Oakville's road infrastructure and park lands/open space. This study is reviewing potential sites for the new North Satellite Operations Depot and Patrol Yard within the area bounded by the north Town Boundary, the east Town Boundary, Dundas Street to the south and Bronte Road to the west, as shown in the map. Consultation with external agencies, property owners and the public is taking place throughout this study, including at two Public Information Centres (PICs). The first PIC was held on July 26, 2007 and allowed property owners, local residents and members of the public to review the study process, the study need and justification and potential sites under consideration for the North Satellite Operations Depot and Patrol Yard. Following the review of comments received at the first PIC, the project team has completed the analysis / evaluation of potential sites and identified the preferred site as located within Town-owned lands on the west side of Neyagawa Boulevard between Dundas Street and Burnhamthorpe Road (see map).
