The event will celebrate Oakville's 150th anniversary with a live entertainment lineup starting at 7 p.m. It will be held at the Galaxy 707 Club, 475 North Service Rd. E. from 7 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Entertainment will include Reckless Abandon, SILMARIL, Coldsweat, and Elated, the winner of Oakville's Battle-of-the-Bands. There will also be a silent auction, raffle prizes, food and fun. Tickets are available online or at Oakville Place Guest Services. Tickets cost $40 in advance or $50 at the door. All proceeds will be donated to the Community Foundation of Oakville REACH Legacy Fund and The Rocks for Crops Foundation. Donations to the Legacy Fund will be used specifically for assisting members of the community in need. Donations to The Rocks for Crops Foundation will support the use of indigenous agromineral mining processes, enabling a significant impact on the Millennium Development Goals of reducing the number of hungry and poor people in third-world countries with projects in sub-Sahara Africa. OAS Studio tour this weekend More than 20 artists will have their art on display in eight locations around Oakville on the weekend of Nov. 3-4. The second annual Oakville Art Society Studio tour will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
