Organized by a volunteer committee, with the Town of Oakville and the business community, the annual parade features more than 50 floats and marching bands. While the parade is driven by a dedicated corps of local volunteers, it is only made possible by its corporate sponsors. "Our corporate sponsors are an integral part of the Oakville Santa Claus Parade. Sponsorship funds are used to hire bands and costumed characters, publicize the event, maintain Santa's float, rec- ognize winning entries and much more," said Pam Damoff, chair of the Oakville Santa Claus Parade. To date, more than 20 local companies and organizations have pledged financial or in-kind support to the parade, ensuring the continued success of the cherished tradition.
