Thanks also to Bert Jackson for creating the acorns for the Acorn on a Spoon Race. Bert also created Silver Acorns for the mayor and the Winner of the Race, and to Didier Nitelet, from Sea & Craft Framing, who made the commemorative plaque containing the Mayor's Silver Acorn. The folks at Way Cool Tattoo also provided the art display and activities provided. Thanks go to the Kerr Village Organic Farmers' Market, who offered bobbing for apples and information on their summer market. Fish Bones cooked up some great food for the party goers. The 150th Anniversary event would not have happened without support from the Town of Oakville, especially Janet Corcoran, and Francine Landry and Jane Hawkrigg of the 150th Anniversary Task Force. We appreciate their commitment and assistance. Certainly the biggest thanks go to the people of Oakville and especially Ward 2. It wouldn't have been a birthday party without the guests, and you came out and had fun, enjoyed the birthday cake and took part in the day's activities. If we have forgotten anyone, please know that we are grateful to each and every one of you.
