On Monday, May 14, from 6 a.m. - 6 p.m., each golfer will play 100 holes of golf, all the while raising funds towards the work of the CFO in linking good people to special community causes. This year's ninth Annual Marathon of Golf, sponsored by Etherington and Vukets, is at The Glen Abbey Golf Club. What are bankruptcy warning signs? In addition, they have the opportunity to win the Holein-One prize: A Mercedes SLK55 -- a two-seater convertible worth approximately $100,000, courtesy of sponsor Mercedes-Benz Oakville Autohaus. Here are some interesting Marathon of Golf facts: · Net proceeds from last year's event was a record $212,000. · Over $700,000 has been raised in the marathon's eight-year history. · Average number of balls used by each golfer during 100 holes is 15. The Community Foundation of Oakville works with donors in managing their permanently-endowed funds and distributes income from those funds to local charities. Since 1997, grants of over $8 million have been made to benefit community organiza- tions.
