Enjoy a walk down memory lane, live performances, town crier competition, plus the spectacular Sunveil Sunwear 150th anniversary fireworks show, all in Coronation Park throughout festival weekend. Voted one of the Top 50 Festivals in Ontario for the third year in a row, the Oakville Waterfront Festival is renowned for its first-class musical entertainment and its action-packed family activities. Founded in 1992 by a group of dedicated volunteers who wanted to pay tribute to Oakville's vibrant community, the festival has grown to be one of the GTA's premier events. Each year, Coronation Park comes alive with a weekend full of entertainment the whole family can enjoy. Children's village, craft show, theme park, beer garden, community performers, and great concerts by headline recording artists all return this year along with some exciting new events in honour of the anniversary. All activities are included in your pay-one-price admission (with exception of theme park rides). Details on all the events will be posted, as they become available, on the festival web site at www.oakvillefestival.com, and with local media: The Oakville Beaver, Cogeco Cable 23, CHTV, and 102.9 K-Lite fm. Tickets will be available in advance of the show on the web site and at all Shoppers Drug Mart locations, as well as many other locations around town. Three-day, all-inclusive admission is just $11 each when you buy five or more in advance or $13 for single admission, and $13 each when you buy 5 or more at the gate or $15 each for single.
