Monday. Taking part were, from left, Peter Zulauf, president of the Ontario West Central Red Cross and vice president of Ontario Red Cross; Jack Lodge, District Management Chair; Mayor Rob Burton; Pat Gaudet, Oakville branch public relations chair; Phyllis Fergusson, manager fundraising development; volunteer Donna Starkey and Oakville branch president John Robertson. The Canadian Red Cross, Oakville Branch serves more than 145,000 residents in Oakville with the help of more than 100 volunteers. The Red Cross responds to thousands of disasters across Canada each year ranging from house fires to floods and tornadoes and offers many programs and services from first aid and water safety, to Meals on Wheels and abuse prevention education.
