The New Year's Levee will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Town Hall located at 1225 Trafalgar Rd. in celebration of the new year as well as in celebration of Oakville's 150th anniversary, which is happening in 2007. "A New Year's Levee is a wonderful way for us to spend time with our constituents and friends outside of the Council Chambers," said Burton who was elected in the Nov. 13 municipal election. "It will be an afternoon the whole family can enjoy; we look forward to meeting everyone and officially launching the Town's 150th anniversary celebrations," said the mayor. The New Year's Levee will be an afternoon of free entertainment that should prove fun for everyone. The afternoon even will feature entertainment by the Oakville Children's Choir, the Graytones, a Carousel of Nations performance, free refreshments and face painting.
