Loving husband for 61 years to Peggy, beloved father of Diane, Maureen, and John. Much-loved grandfather of David (Yolanda), Andrea, Michael, Susan, Jillian, Joanne, Sheilagh, Catherine, Michael, and Allison, adoring great-grandfather to Julia, and loved father-in-law of Pauline and Ron. Bernard was born in Cornwall, Ontario in 1924. He served his country in the RCAF as a Navigator on a Lancaster Bomber during WWII, for which he was a recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross. Bernard graduated from McGill University in 1950 in Civil Engineering, and completed a long and successful career in the pulp and paper industry. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Sixty Degree Society of Oakville. Visitation was held at the Kopriva-Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-8442600), Oakville from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 on Tuesday, November 14th. Jim will be dearly missed. Beloved husband of the late Marjorie Thompson, wife of 63 years. Loving father of Brian (Jayne) of Edmonton, Karen Levesque (Yves) of Ottawa. LITCHFIELD, Maurice Clare- Peacefully, surrounded by his family on Monday, November 13, 2006 at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital at the age of 83. Maurice was a WWII veteran in the Canadian Army (R.C.E.M.E.), 2nd Advanced Base Workshop. Born and raised in Oakville, he was a 4th generation Oakvillian. Married his beloved wife Kathleen "Kay" (nee Hare) of Taplow Bucks, England in May 1945 and celebrated 61 years of marriage. Loving father of Darryl (Heather Ann Small), Glenis (Bryan Peddle), Heather Claire, and Frances (Ed Ziesmann). Grandfather of Dawn, Mark, Trevor, Matthew, Taylor, and Andrea. Great Grandfather of Logan and Ethan. Survived by his dear sister Marian Bawden. Funeral service took place on November 16, 2006 with burial at St. Jude's cemetery.
