According to investigators, officers were summoned around 1:30 a.m. to the Sunoco gas station located at 2960 South Sheridan Way. The suspect entered the kiosk and ordered the clerk to turn over cash. He indicated that he had a gun, however none was observed. An undisclosed quantity of cash was surrendered and the suspect then fled on foot east from the station. The employee of the gas station was not physically harmed. The suspect is described as a white male between 20-25 years of age, between five-feet five-inches and five-feet eight-inches tall with an average build. He appeared to have a scruffy goatee. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a light coloured hoodie, black pants and a light brown baseballstyle cap.
