September 14, 1994 Walk, run, wheel or rollerblade through part of Glen Abbey for the 14th annual Terry Fox Run on Sept. 18th. A fiveâ€"kilometre cirâ€" cular route will take participants along Pilgrim‘s Way and Nottinghill Gate from the startâ€" finish point at the Glen Abbey Recreation Centre on Third Line near Upper Middle Road. The run starts at 10 a.m., and first 500 participants each receive a free Tâ€"shirt. Sponsor sheets can be picked up at any branch of the Bank of Geoffrey Gunn, 74 Geoffrey Bunnell Gunn, volunâ€" teer extraordinaire and a man with a remarkable career, died Friday in his 75th year. Gunn was a familiar sight on Oakville streets with his Guide Dog and was an inspiration to many, touching in a meaningful way almost every person who knew him. Following war service as Captain with the Essex Scottish Regiment, he graduated from the University of Western Ontario and, after losing his vision, earned a Master of Social Work degree from University of Toronto. His diverse career also included work in ©Training _ and _ Staff Development with the Ministry of Community and Social Services and as Assistant Professor of Social Work at the University of Toronto.
