Bike races, Art in Park holiday weekend highlights We‘re in the middle of a very busy weekend in Oakville. Today (Sun. July 31st) the town plays host to a series of bike races known as a Criterium. It goes from 7:30 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. with the senior mens event. The 1.2 km loop follows Lakeshore Road, Trafalgar Road, Church Street, Dunn Street, Randall Street to Thomas Street and then back to Lakeshore Road. Art in the Park, which features crafts, jewâ€" ellery, pottery, original paintings, photography, stained glass and woodworking, runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Admission is $1) while the picâ€" nic also begins at 10 a.m. but ends an hour earliâ€" er at 4 p.m. For just a dollar, kids can buy an act1v1ty card which will allow them to participate in more than a dozen activities including bouncing on a trampoline, making crafts or clambering through an obstacle course. When their card is full they can head for the Treasure Chest and choose a prize to take home.
