If you are a GIC investor, whether it be for your RRSP or RRIF or as part of your savings program, it will certainly be worth your while to drop into the Fiscal Agents office on Speers Road â€" across from the Oakville Beaver â€" and meet Phyllis Lewis. This pleasant, noâ€"nonsense local resident is a recent addition to the staff of investment specialâ€" ists at Fiscal Agents and brings with her 27 years of experience helping people manage their money. Formerly with a major bank, Phyllis understands the firm foundation GICs bring to investment portfolios. "GICs are conservative investâ€" ments and many people like their relative safety and simplicity," says Phyllis. "The advantage that Fiscal Agents has for GIC buyers is the variety of institutions that we represent and the flexible prodâ€" ucts we offer. Clients really like the fact that they can sit down with me and let me help them select their GICs, RRSPs and RRIFs from a large number of institutions. Because I am not confined to offering just one institution‘s products, clients know I have their best interests in mind." For those not familiar with Fiscal Agents, it is a oneâ€"stop shopping office for investors, offering a wide variety of serâ€" vices from its centrally located office at 466 Speers Road. The company gathers pertinent investment information from more than 190 banks, trust comâ€" panies and insurance companies, and other financial institutions across Canada. The information is made available to Fiscal Agents‘ local clients and also for newspapers like the Toronto Star, Financial Post and Toronto Sun, where the comprehensiveness of the data is appreciated. "We survey the market daily to be able to recommend the best possible rates of return for our clients, complete all the necesâ€" Fiscal Agents‘ Phyllis Lewis fully appreciates what GIC‘s â€" bring to investment portfolios MONEY MANAGEMENT MADE EASY!Y sary paperwork and deposit the client‘s funds into the financial institution of their choice," says Phyllis. "Frequently we can offer interest rates higher than those available from local institutions because we receive higher rates for volume business and because many of the institutions we repâ€" resent don‘t have to open and staff expensive branches." Fiscal Agents‘ clients do not pay fees for the service they receive; instead, the company is paid by the financial institutions. Representatives, such as Phyllis, will take the time to explain the investment options, compare them, provide business profiles on the firms involved, advise the client of tax implicaâ€" tions and finally, offer recomâ€" mendations. "We are virtually an agency office for many different instituâ€" tions," comments Phyllis. "We will provide all the appropriate documentation of the investment, followed by a certificate or conâ€" firmation from the institution. We also provide a comprehensive report of the client‘s portfolio through "Your Manager Statement Account System"Y", and clients receive a periodic newsletter with more general financial information, all without charge. When an investment is Phyllis Lewis, who recently joined the staff at Fiscal Agents, says, "Let us help you design a total program to plan, organize and keep track of your hardâ€"earned savings and investments." * DEPENDABLE _ x WE THINK GREEN * QUALITY * FAST FUSSY For A Free Estimate 845â€"3777 Our Goal ...
