She has taken this shortage of personal time and parlayed it into a thriving business. Lupton has named her business, appropriately enough, Pressed for Time, and it is geared to people who don‘t have the extra minutes needed to run around dropping off and picking up their own dry cleaning. The premise is a simple one, but judging by the response Lupton has had, it is an idea whose time has come. Basically, Lupton will pick up and deliver your dry cleaning to your home or office It’s a fact of life that most peoâ€" op F T“fiswfl se w Present this coupon and it mm â€" ons . on inâ€"stock FABRIC TOPPER « VALANGE. There is no extra charge for the personal pickâ€"up and delivery. You pay only for the dry cleaning. It may sound too good to be true, but Lupton says it‘s the type of business arrangement where everyone benefits. Instead of charging the customer a fee for pickâ€"up and delivery, Lupton has arranged a contract with Roma Bella Cleaners on Speers Rd. She brings in lots of extra business for them, the customer gets the conveâ€" nience of personal pickâ€"up and delivery, and she creates a fullâ€" time job for herself. _ Lupton began the business in April after hearing about a similar service being run in the States. "There are lots of people out there who are working long hours, and often don‘t have the time to get their cleaning dropped off or picked up during regular business Sheridan College pres. at Canadian Club Mary Hofstetter, president of Sheridan College will be the keynote speaker at the Jan. 27th Oakville Canadian Club meeting. "Let‘s face it," adds Lupton, "people don‘t even go out for pizza anymore. They‘re used to having things delivered to them. So why not their dry cleaning?" Not only will Lupton pick up and deliver your dry cleaning, she will also offer sameâ€"day service if you call her before 10 a.m. Currently, Lupton has about 100 steady customers who have her do regular weekly pickâ€"ups, mostly at their offices.
