TY CE TENTE *Â¥ 5 # t i8 Traditionally, most successful wineries in Europe are associated with a lengthy history. Indeed, there are many that can boast several hundred years of making wines, Yet there are some that are relatively young but equally successful. Boisset, the rising star of the Burgundy wine houses Then there are such rising stars of Jeanâ€"Claude Boisset, the youngest of the great Burgundy wine houses in France. Boisset came to my attention during a recent visit to France, just after he bought the established house of F. Chauvenet in Nuitsâ€"Saintâ€" Georges. Jeanâ€"Claude started virtually from nothing after abandoning the family tradition of teaching, much to the disâ€" may of his parents. In spite of his sucâ€" cess, I found the personality of Jeanâ€" Claude behind every glass of wine that I drank as we had lunch together in Toronto recently. He still rememâ€" bers his first barrel of wine which he sold at the age of 18, but most of all he has never abandoned his principals as a teenager to dedicate his life to the production of the very best that could come out of the Burgundy Region. Time has passed, but I found his passion for great wine has only increased, but then again it is said that anything connected with wine will improve with age. Back in France, Art Rental continues Art Rental and Sales, a project of Oakville Galleries Volunteer Association, is holding its Fall Collection Show at Oakville Galleries opening tomorrow and running to Sunday, Nov. 14th. He told me these are completely operated on their own without interâ€" ference from the head office, "That is," Jeanâ€"Claude added, "as lo quality is up to my standard." That may pose some problems as Jeanâ€"Claude Boisset has set standards which are just a little above the best of ] BUY 1 BUFFET FR 1 â€" FRIDAY, NOV, 5TH ONLY BUY 1 REGULAR MENU ITEM _ GET 1 FREE I -I .
