PD day workshops at Oakville Museum set for Fri. Oct. 29th This fall, the Oakville Museum is offering some interesting workâ€" shops with artisan Kathy Cope. Now is the time to register! Two special Halloween P.D. Day (Professional Development Day) Workshops will be held on Fri., Oct. 29th. Children ages 7 and up will enjoy making a Halloween craft to take home. There is a morning workshop from 10 am. â€" 12 noon, and an afternoon workshop running from 1 pm. â€" 3 pm. The cost per child is $10, and this includes all materials. On Sat., Nov. 20th, children ages 7 and up can - Make A Christmas Basket. This workshop will run from 1 pm. until 3 pm. and will involve creating a stake and strand basket. $10 includes all materials and pre-registration is required. As a special treat on Sun., Nov. 21st, adults are welcome to take part in the workshop â€" Make A Christmas Basket For Adults. Running from 1 pm. until 4 p.m., this workshop will teach adults how to make an attractive rib basket from grapevine and reed. $20 includes all materials and preâ€"regis- tration is necessary. The Downtown Oakville Businesses will be providing free pumpkins for all downtown customers on Sat., Oct. 23rd. For all you pumpkin carvers out there, Bronte Creek Provincial Park 5 should be your destination on Sunday when they hold their annual F pumpkin carving contest.
