Police were called at about 3 a.m. by an employee who became suspicious of three male youths who were hanging around the store. When police arrived four vehicles left the parking lot at a high rate of speed. All four vehicles were located abandoned a short distance away and the officers observed four to five males running through a muddy field. Police established a perimeter and the canine unit responded. Police arrested five males, and a sixth youth was turned over to police by a private citizen. The four vehicles were found to be stolen--one from Georgetown, two from Peel and one from Etobicoke. Police also seized a set of master keys and burglary tools. The six arrested youths range in age from 15 to 17 and are all residents of Mississauga. They are facing charges including possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools, possession of master keys, breach of undertakings and breach of recognizance. Four of the suspects were held for bail and the other two were released to appear in Milton Youth Court.
