Police blotter Vehicle stolen from shop A 2006 Chrysler 300, valued at $35,000, that was in the shop at Georgetown Chrysler was stolen during a break and enter sometime between 10:30 a.m. and noon. Halton Police say a glass window in a door was smashed to gain entry. ··· The tires and rims (valued at $5,000) from a 2007 Honda CRV at Georgetown Honda were stolen sometime late Thursday or early Friday. The culprit(s) went over the fence around the compound to get to the car. ··· A tool bag containing $800 worth of power tools was stolen from the box of a pickup truck parked at St. George Tavern on Main St. Friday evening. ··· A cash box containing a quantity of cash was taken from St. Stephen's Church on Steeles Ave. during a break and enter sometime late Wednesday or early Thursday. ··· Several Christmas presents, valued at approximately $8,000, stored in the garage at a McClure Cr. garage were stolen during a break and enter sometime late Thursday or early Friday. The side door was pried open to gain entry. Included in the stolen items were kitchen appliances and bicycles. ··· A $1,500 HP/Compaq laptop computer was stolen from the manager's office at North Halton Golf and Country Club on Maple Ave. sometime between 6:45 and 7:50 p.m. Friday. The door to the office was unlocked. Atlas copy donated Halton Hills Councillor Clark Somerville (left) presented a reprint copy of the Halton County Atlas to the Town of Halton Hills recently on behalf of his family, the Somervilles, early settlers in the area. Town clerk Karen Landry and Mayor Rick Bonnette accepted the copy, which includes a signed bookplate of all members of the Somerville family-- about 40 people-- as well as photos, the family tree, and the family coat of arms and tartan.
