Club Treehouse to play at Tanners Restaurant tonight The band, Club Treehouse, will be playing at Tanners Restaurant in Acton tonight, Friday, June 9, 7-11 p.m. Club Treehouse formed last summer in Mississauga with Adam Bailie (vocals/guitar), Kevin Mifflin (bass), Nick Londono (keyboard), Brendan McLelland (drumkit), and Reid Hendry, an Acton native, (percussion) met while attending MetalWorks Institute of Sound and Music Production. They quickly grew a strong, loyal following by playing bars in Mississauga, Toronto and Barrie. The song Summer Vibes, written by Bailie was nominated for a Canadian Radio Music Award under the category of Best New Group Or Solo Artist: Dance/Urban/Rhythmic. The song was recorded under the name Fessional, who created the beat and provided vocals along with Bailie. This was a significant accomplishment for an unsigned artist. The song was a summer anthem for 2005 and was heard daily on many radio stations across the country, becoming a top 40 hit. Club Treehouse recently released a 10track CD and can currently be heard on CIUT 89.5 FM. They have an original sound best described as a mix of pop/afrobeat/folk/reggae/accoustic with a positive vibe. McLelland will be recording singer Jody Gnant from Phoenix this summer at MetalWorks studio. He has also set up a project to work with Alice Cooper.
