Annual Super Cities WALK raises $92,000 for MS research An estimated 400 people took part in the Loblaws Super Cities WALK for MS in Milton-Halton Hills Sunday, raising more than $92,000 for multiple sclerosis research and services. Money raised at the WALK exceeded organizers' goal of $65,000. Since participants are able to keep raising pledges for one month following the WALK, the total is expected to go even higher. Money raised through events like the Super Cities WALKs for MS funds local services for people with MS and their families, as well as helping to advance the MS Society's national research program. Researchers are discovering new treatments for MS as they get closer to finding a cure. The MS Society of Canada's next fundraising event is the MS Carnation Campaign, which will take place from May 11-13.
