Acton Angels to hold fundraising dance for Weekend To End Breast Cancer event The Acton Angels are looking for area residents to show their support for their team's participation in the Weekend to End Breast Cancer. The Angels, a group of Acton residents, will be embarking on the 60 km walk through Toronto over the course of two days to raise funds for Princess Margaret Hospital-- on the frontlines of cancer research and care. A veteran fourth year participant in the walk-- and cancer survivor-- Jane Allen iill be joined by 13 men and women working to raise awareness and funding for the walk through Toronto. Two other survivors joined the group last year in their quest; Marjorie Bartels as a volunteer and Shari Kravis as a second year walker. Other team members are: third year walkers, Debbie Harding and Darlene Saunders, second year walkers Tracy Brouwer, Fiona Brown, Cindy Gardener, and David Wiseman and first year walkers, Cheryl Galway, Thomas Harding, Annette Hartley, Tammy Kennedy, and Sharon Kostiloff. The Angels are hosting their second annual Acton Angel Dance at the Acton Legion on Saturday, April 29 from 7:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. The event will include door prizes, silent auction, buffet and dancing to music provided by DJ Steve Dunn. All proceeds from the event will go towards the minimum $2,000 fundraising requirement of each of the Acton Angels.
