Free tax clinics for low-income earners Income tax returns will be done free of charge by volunteers from the local branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and the Canada Revenue Agency Hamilton Tax Services Office. This service is only for lowincome taxpayers. Total income requirements for each household unit are $15,000 without dependents and $22,500 with dependents. These clinics will be held at the Georgetown branch of the Halton Hills Library on Wednesday, March 15th and Thursday, March 16th, and at the Acton branch on Thursday, March 23. To register for the clinic in Acton, visit the Acton branch (17 River St., Acton) or phone 519-8530301. To register for the clinics in Georgetown, visit the Georgetown branch (9 Church St., Georgetown) or phone 905-873-2681 ext 2511. Space is limited. Preschool programs Halton Hills Public Library offers free programs for children aged 6 months to five years beginning in April. To register, visit either branch March 1- 25.
