south of the stouffville county market in october 2004 the town of whitchurchstouffville initiated a planning process that will result in master plans being prepared for memorial and bethesda parks the plan for memorial park will account for the extension of park drive through the site and the retirement of the water pollution control plant scheduled in the next few years bethesda park is an undeveloped property within the oak ridges moraine the park comprises 206 hectares 51 acres of land and is located east of ninth line on the south side of the bethesda side road and is bordered on the west side by the stouffville creek both plans are to create new and enhance existing linkages to adja cent and nearby parks and in the case of memorial park linkages to the downtown core of stouffville each plan will involve an assess ment of opportunities and constraints traffic analysis a review of options and the development of a preferred master plan the plans will include costing timing phasing and illustrations of key features for memorial park an analysis of some of the existing facilities will also be completed consulting and communicating with interested parties and the com munity are crucial to the preparation of these plans specific interest groups community groups and agency representatives municipal staff town council and other community leaders have been invited
