enthusiasts from across the province this weekend tom gayford who won a show jumping gold medal at the 1968 summer olympics in mexico city is one of several internationally renowned canadian equestrians taking part in the third annual symposium for the performance horse and rider the symposium to be held at markhamsradisson hotel is being staged- by the aurorabased horse publications group the weekend consists of seminars a trade show and sev eral handson workshops it is aimed at coaches riders trainers breeders horsekeepers and those who have recent lytaken an interest in horses we take all aspects ofthe performance horse and rider said margie sproule ofthe horse publication group theres all sorts of things depending on what a persons interests may be the weekend gets under way tomorrow with four evening workshops peter wardell ofthe local schleese saddlery saddle mak ing operation is to give a workshop on saddle fitting stretching exercises barri renovation and mental
