intermediate students every year our school has a specific focus and this year the staff decided that they wanted to concentrate in the science area explained vice principal norma luks a staff committee was set up to organize the event which will consist of a fullday series of workshops encompassing math science and technology in a pro gramsolving symposium prob lemsolving was identified as being a key component of both mind maze and the regular class room curriculum noted luks we wanted to put it in every classroom as a major focus we thought of it as being a life skill in coping with daytoday situa tions staff decided to move away from the traditional science fair format and towards something which was relevant in todays rapidly changing world we wanted it to be an integral part of the school program and we want ed to have it in the school luks said the idea was to make it a cooperative venture between parents the school and outside agencies mind maze is set up like a regular conference with approximately20 workshops on a variety of topics and each stu dent is able to select three in which to participate each is one hour in length and they are all given by people out side of our school there will be approximately 15 to 20 students per workshop afternoon musicale sunday april 25 n 3 pm j i a j3 st james presbyterian church presented by the alumni of the royiil conservatory of music consultants teachers parents local business people and guests from the university of toronto and york university are among those who will be heading up the workshops a real conference has a keynote speakeraddress the whole group said luks dr donald fraser a math professor at u of t is our keynote speaker he has written a series called go jays go which was published by the toronto star and some stu dents are already using that luks said that school staff are excited about mind maze which takes place on may 4 its some thing new and progressive and as far as i know accessories such as glass jars and coffee grinders also decorate the boutique adding to the homey ambiance women can choose from several quality garment lines southern comfort paris star gaytown and courageous many of them canadi anmade soft feminine florals co ordinate with the brights and neutrals to make it easy for customers to mix and match sizes available range from 4 to 22 and tom has recently reintroduced a petite line for women 54 and under at the rear of the shop is the mens department with an amazing selec tion of menswear in an attrcactively laidout yet limited number of square feet whether its a suit swim trunks a sweater or a tic the villager offers excellent quality at reasonable prices we carry a little of a lot of things tom said to ensure that customers are not
