countries around the world as well as being infinitely imaginative the ccfc is no slouch when it comes to raising money since i960 the organization has beenproviding longterm assistance to people of all faiths in developing countries to enable to help them become more self sufficient in 1992 alone ccfc raised over 27 million in money and life saving supplies supporting countries such as somalia sound is the stopping point on day three giving the cyclists the opportunity to ride along freshwater beaches at their own pace even stopping for a dip if they feel so inclined crossing the base of the bruce peninsula the group goes through the summer resort town of sauble beach on the shores of lake huron then its on to historic goderich and bayfield known for their marvelous sunsets cruising through farmland to stratford they will stop for the night and take in a theatre production before arising and heading off for the charming village of st jacobs theyll cruise along the magnificent elora gorge to fergus where the highland gaines will open having been revived by the sound of the bag pipes and the taste of haggis the cyclists will strike out towards musselmans lake the final days journey takes them into toronto and home to a heros welcome at ontario place riders are accommodated in tents provided by organizers and are given a big breakfast and supper daily there are support vans a truck for toting riders gear from one sleepover point to the next midday refreshment points and people to help fix your bike if you get into trouble cyclists are free to tour at their own pace with 100 kilometers the standard ride each day hor showers are available at each camp and theres even an entertainment program at night the only catch is that each rider must submit a pledge sheet with a minimum of 2500 in sponsored funds this hasnt been an unsurmountable task the past two years however as the event has raised over 300000 it sounds like the ultimate summer adventure among the
