will increase the bruins schedule from 30 to 36 games the team has also scheduled eight exhibition games for september with the league growing to seven teams one squad will fail to make the playoffs next sea son league officials met to finish drafting the 9495 schedule earlier this month new bruins president paul harris said the league has decided not to experiment with either a new playoff format or an interlocking schedule with other junior c leagues there had been talk the league might look into the possibility of extending the regular season past the end of january by holding a playoff tourna ment instead of having several best of seven series to decide the league championship harris said any new playoff structure would have to tie in with what other junior c leagues were doing he conceded that the playoff ques tion and the possibility of interleague play could be brought up at a later date maybe in the future something might be changed but it involves negotiating with other junior c leagues said harris the bruins are working on an affiliation with the pickering panthers of the metro junior a hockey league tthe arrangement would be a free flow of players between the two teams with the bruins sending players to fill in if the panthers are short and the panthers shipping surplus players to uxbridge harris said the new bruins executive has invited coach mike morrison and his assistants trevor clarke and tim evans to return for the 9495 season at the bruins annual meeting on may 29 mike jenkins and steve nagymarosi were made vice presidents while donna
